Do you remove the skin off of the salmon before broiling?

My MIL gave us some salmon and I am cooking it tonight but there is skin on one side. Do I cook it with it on and then remove or take it off before? I am not a big fan of fish so I don't cook it very much, anything I have gotten already had the skin removed.

  • leave it on. it will help keep the fish in one piece, and contribute to tenderness and flavor. you don't eat the skin tho. you can either remove it before serving, or jstu eat it out of the skin - kind of like eating a baked potato out of the skin... whichever way suits you.
