Do your kids play any musical instruments?

Mine don't but my 8-yr-old want to take violin lessons.

  • 22yo plays the piano- also teaches
    18yo little keyboards but can't read music
    16yo nothing
    12yo violin- she's really good
    9yo 1 nothing
    9yo 2 he can read music and plays the guitar, piano, violin, drums, fluit, harp and keyboards. He's only taken violin and piano lessons.

  • One son played saxophone, but not until high school, and second son played piano. If you can afford lessons you might want to see if he/she enjoys it. Lots of music stores will rent the instrument while the child figures out if they are really interested.

  • Yep, my 12 yr old has been playing the clarinet in school band for several yrs now.

  • My oldest and youngest are the musicians, saxophone, drums and electronic keyboard (can also play piano). My oldest is trying to get into a Jazz band (he's 24)

  • My toddler plays the keyboard. At least, she thinks she does. Mommy plays "plug in the headphones so you can hear it better" so that she can experience her full creativity without the high pitch electric screeching going all through the house.
