  • If your baby is gaining 4-7 oz a week or at least a pound a month you can try using only one breast a feeding. It can be perfectly normal for a baby to have green poop and look in dsicomfort. It can be a sign that the baby isn't getting enough of the high fat milk at the end of the feeding at each breastf.

  • Are you pumping at all? How old is your baby?

  • It could be any number of things, you might want to call a lactation consultant to see what they say. My guess is your baby isn't getting enough hindmilk, in which case you need to let baby finish nursing on one side before you switch. More time spent on one breast means more hindmilk. It can also be a sensitivity to something you've ea.ten.

  • That is right!! your baby needs more hindmilk..the lactation consultant told me the same nurse one breast each feeding so you completely empty your breast..and if you feel full pump a little! She explained it to me like milk we drink you first have the fat free then 2% then you get to the whole milk which your baby needs :)
