Homeschooling in New York, what do I need to do?

I asked before about homeschooling, and I have made a decision, I am going to take my son out of the school he is in. I have reached my limit with the staff there, I refuse to leave him in a place I feel is not treating him equally to the rest of the children. What I would have to do, what I need, advice, anything anyone can tell me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

  • I homeschool in NY. If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me. I would also suggest you join Happy Homeschoolers on cafemom. Good luck on your journey.

  • Go the state's website and the education department to see what they say about homeschooling regulations etc. Also might want to go to the homeschooling group here on cafemom. Good luck

  • The below link is the BEST resource for someone who is looking to homeschool.  It is the site for Home School Legal Defense Association and they will provide you with a State Law Summary that will tell you what you need to do.
