how hot do you like your Chili?

  • I have to make it relatively mild since some people here don't have a real threshold for heat in their chili. Chili needs some heat to taste good.

  • Hot enough it has good flavor, but not so hot my kids won't touch it or the area just outside the outside of my lips burn.

  • I tend to make it mild. I serve it with a bottle of hot sauce on the table that way the kids can have the mile, I get medium and DH can have his screaming hot.

  • Not! and in my opinion Cayenne Pepper needs to be made illegal. My husband, on the other hand... maybe someday we will cook together.

  • i get chili, i add chili powder and hot sauce, a pinch of pepper and that's it. if it tastes like it's not hot enough, it's not chili. it's stew.
