how long can i keep breastmilk in my freezer?

its the kind of fridge that has freezer up top and fridge below...standard refrigerator...breastmilk is in Lansinoh storage bags and at the back of the freezer...how long will it stay safe to give to my DD?

  • 3-4 months sounds like a good answer. I have always heard 6 months for the type of freezer you have, when stored in the back, but that is under absolutely perfect conditions so I think I'd recommend the shorter time frame.

    You can store it for up to a year in a deep freeze.

  • 3-4 months in a regular freezer. 6 month or longer in a deep freezer.

  • ditto mommy of two, and make sure you press all the air out of the bag or it will get freezer burn.
