What would cause extreme fatigue?

I have hypothyroidism and I know that doesn't help, but I am on medication for that. It's just been the last 3 weeks or so. I wake up after 8-10 hrs of sleep and feel as if I haven't gotten any. I have also been having muscle stiffness and insomnia. I have a drs appt in 2 weeks to get my blood rechecked, but I just wanted to know if anyone here might know what it is? Or if anyone has had it? Thanks in advance.......

  • Fatigue is the number one symptom of about a thousand different things. There is no way anyone here will be able to pinpoint that for you. You're doing the right thing by going in for blood work.

  • Oh, also I am not pregnant! :) I am on birth control and have been since this time last year so I know I'm not and that can't be the reason I'm fatigued.
