Can you close a question without choosing a best answer?

Sometimes when I put in a question (although not often), there is not an answer that I feel is worth "best answer". So what do you do?

  • No, if I just want to close it, I'll just choose a best answer anyway, but I like your idea itsall, I'll message one of you to answer it so you can get the BA ;-)

  • You can't without deleting the question and losing 5 points. In that case, I would just pick a random best answer.

  • If you don't find your best answer, than you must already know what you want to hear.

  • Your only option is to delete it, which will cost you five points.

  • I wish we could, but nope. Sometimes I will PM a friend and ask them to answer it just to give a BA out so I can close it.

  • No, unfortunately, there is no other option, although many of us wish there were. I just leave my questions open.

  • The best answer doesn't have to be a good answer... just better than the others.
