1 Bump

How early can you go to a pumpkin patch for halloween?

My kids and I want to go to a pumpkin festival, its on October 9th or 10th. If we get a pumpkin there and wait to carve it until Halloween will it still be good?

  • As long as you don't carve it it will be fine we grew our own this year but if they weren't good enough to stay until the end of October I wouldn't think they would be able to go on hayrack rides to get them either

  • Yes, it will, but it should be kept cool. If you live farly north (like PA, NY, etc), keeping it outside is the best. If you put it in the house it might not last until the end of november.

If you carve it and keep it cool it should still last about 2 weeks before it starts to turn funky.

  • Yes, but keep it cool and dry, if possible

  • As long as you don't knick it or gash it so it is exposed to the air it should be fine.
