  • I put the whole thing in ( i think it keeps the juices in the roast better)

  • Put the whole thing in.  When it's done cooking it will be so tender it will just fall apart anyway.

  • If the entire thing will fit in my slow cooker I will put the entire thing in there. Otherwise I may cut it in half to fit. I wont spend the time it would take to cut it up and besides your meat should just fall apart when it is finished. Yummy. I'm sure it would taste the same though.

  • I prefer to leave it whole, so I try to find a roast small enough to fit in my crockpot. Darn, now you've made me hungry. I think I need to buy a chuck roast for Sunday dinner : p A great way to cook it is to brown it on both sides, place slices of sweet onion and mushrooms on the top, pour undiluted condensed French onion soup over it and cook until very tender, then top with Stove Top stuffing moistened with juices from the crock pot. Melt shredded mozarella cheese over the stuffing and VOILA!
