Can my 7 month old eat leek?

and is it ok to lightly spice food that she eats? I'd like to make myself a meal and just blend some for her.

  • Just introduce it like you would any other food, and as for spices keep them mild but it should be fine.

  • I would introduce spices one at a time just like any other food so you know what is new. Cinnamon, cumin, and nutmeg are all common allergies and I have friend who is actually allergic to garlic! lol. Never heard that one before now.

  • A leek is a mild member of the onion family. My boy liked potato leek soup since he was introduced to "real" food at about 6 mos. If you maybe thin it with some "milk" when you blend it, it might be just fine, depending on how your version is prepared.
