Soap nuts for laundry...Do they have a smell?

If not, do you add a scent in your laundry and what do you use if you do?

  • Your clothes will be scent-free if you launder with soap nuts. If you want your clothes to have a scent, use 2-4 drops of essential oil on a cloth and toss it in with the cool down cycle in your dryer. If you hang dry, you could use a scented liquid fabric softener that you add to your washer, either in the dispensing cup or a Downey Ball. Personally, I don't like our clothes to smell like anything except clothes, so I just use white vinegar for my fabric softener.
