Any ideas for a 17 month old?

Anyone have any ideas of projects I could do with a 17 month old other than telling them to go play with their toys or watch a movie?

I am slowly teaching him to color, etc.

  • We do play dough sometimes. The home made kind so its safe and non-toxic. You can find tons of recipes online. Also someone once suggested to me beading. Like jumbo shapes that your LO can't swallow. We also do school I go over the ABCs, 123s, shapes, and colors.

  • Have school with him. Start teaching him his numbers and alphebet, colars, shapes. Stuff like that.

  • Have him try to pick small objects out of playdough. Very good small motor skill exercise. Let them start to help you cook. I let my little one dump in different kind of cereals (like 1/4 cup each) into a bowl and mix with a spoon. Then he gets to eat what he "made". :)
