No gluten is really hard at first, but after a while its not too bad. My sis has celiacs and my baby was gluten sensative (not celiacs). You will need to give up gluten too if you breastfeed. You can pretty much forget about sandwhich bread unless you learn to make your own. But you can buy gluten free bread that makes really good toast - its just too dense/crumbly to make a sandwhich with. Potatoes and rice are good starches that are safe. Rice pasta tastes almost exactly like regular pasta you just have to be really careful cooking it because it gets overdone really quickly. There is a really good celiacs group here that has lots of good food ideas and recommendaitons.
