"Nieces are a dime a dosen"

Ok, so my DH posted a picture of our 7-yr-old niece on fb my DH's comment under the picture was "This is my niece. She eats a lots of hotdogs. Sometimes plays the piano. Whatever."

And that other guy wrote:
"nieces are a dime a dosen, man. Keep it to yourself."

Could this refer to DH's comment??

My English sucks a little,

Thank you!

  • Wow, rude. Not to mention lousy speller. Although was your dh adding the 'whatever' really necessary? It's rude as well.

  • Doesn't sound like a friend that I would want to keep.

  • :( what a jerk off. (The friend)
:( not very nice of dh either.
I hope the other guy has only his nieces to take care of him when he gets old.

  • Sounds like a real a-hole!

  • Both comments sound snarky to me. Your DH posted inane comments about your niece, so maybe that's what the "keep it to yourself" part was about. Maybe your DH thought he was being funny. You could always respond with "moronic, poor-spellers are a dime a doZen," although that's not necessarily taking the high road. I wouldn't give a crap about the high road in this case. Don't EVER diss my family! Do it and watch the mama bear come out of hibernation. LOL
