  • i liked when they paint a turkey using their hands.. the first day everyone put their hand in brown paint and stuck it on a paper plate. (dont forget to put names on the back) The next day after they are dry, have them put a turkey face on the thumb. Then have them decorate the tail feathers. Let us know what you decide to do. :)

  • make like paper plate masks and let them glue leaves on them of different colors representing the change in nature at this time of year -
they can be trees - and not have anything to do with the holiday
or teach them how the colors mixing together make different colors - this is something my dd has picked up realy easy , blue and yellow make green = color of tree in summer & red and yellow make orange = color of tree in fall

  • My fav in school was the hand turkey. Have the kids trace their hand or have someone help them, cut them out and put colorful feathers and draw a face on the turkey. I think i'm gonna do that with my 2 1/2 yr old. Hope that helps.

  • My grandsons teacher asked us all to collect fallen leaves over the next two weeks. Esp colorful ones. I asked her what she was going to do. This week they are painting tree trunks on a paper. Then they will paste the real leaves that have changed color to them in two weeks. Sounds good to me.
