How many of you had a Doula during pregnancy and delivery, and what did you find most helpful about having one?

  • I didn't have one, but I know some women who did. It was nice for them to feel like they were taken care of and that they had a voice when their mind was otherwise occupied.

  • no! I had one, not by choice (midwife) and I hated her! We had just PCS (moved thru army) to NC nad I had my baby 2 days later at this ne post, and she made it to where I got my epidural 10 minutes before I pushed! BTW thatb was my 4th and I have a heart condition and am supposed to have an epidural to relieve stress! I hated her... JMHO
