at my DD's age, ive heard she should be taking 2 good naps a day...and she does (on her own) but how long should those naps be?

im trying to transition her naps from her swing to her crib but she naps for a much shorter time in her crib...

  • I've always just laid mine down when they seem tired, and let them sleep until they wake up, however long and often that is. She should be sleeping for well over half of her day.

  • My daughter is 11 weeks - she takes 2 30-45 minutes during the day, one 1 1/2 hour nap, and one 2 1/2 hour nap. She wakes around 7 am and goes to bed around 8 pm (I wake her at 10 to nurse and put her right back to bed), she sleeps through the night.

  • My son is 4 mos and honestly naps when he is tired. I don't have any day schedule right now. Sometimes he'll give me one good 2 hour nap, sometimes I'll only get 2 or 3 mini naps (20 min). He has been great about falling asleep by 7:30-8:00 pm, and staying asleep until 3 or 4 am. He gets his feeding, and sleeps some more, until 7 or 8 am.
