How much of your holiday purchases will be toys this year?

Kids don't really appreciate clothing gifts especially when they are little. They really prefer to get toys and stuff. As they get older they appreciate getting clothes and gadgets for the holidays.

  • Gadgets yes, clothes are hardly ever what they want. And I wouldn't even know what kind of clothes to buy. How much on toys, a couple of hundred .

  • Mine are each getting: 1 handmade blanket, a book, and 1 toy/video game from DH and I. My mom on the other hand will send them 4 or 5 toys/gadgets/video games each. not so much toys for the older ones (11 and 13), they will most get video games, a basketball goal I think, and a few smaller things like wallets, clothes, etc. My DD is 6, she will get more toys from grandma.

  • Other than gifts purchased for charity... none. We have decided not to exchange with nieces/nephews this year and my ds will be 18 in February and has already asked for a new O2 sensor for his Audi A4 and for a new snowboarding jacket.
