what did you do w/ your kids last yr. Halloween costumes?

My kids last years were HUGE and still fit... I am waiting another few weeks to make sure this years costume comes together, fits, is warm enough, etc. Then they'll either hit ebay, go into the play dressup box, or be used for emergency costume back-up and sell 'em next year.

  • DD's costume last year was just a wig and witches hat. She had a dress to go with it but it was an everyday dress. The wig and hat she plays with sometimes. I just let her keep them for dress up.

  • We kept them in their dress-up box after Halloween and they literally wore them to death! Those poor costumes are rags now, but sometimes my 3yo DD will still run around in her frayed, unraveling Snow White She still loves it.

  • DD's costume went to the dress-up chest. I think I donated my DS's costume.

  • we usually keep them for dress up play...once they don't use them anymore (if they are in good enough shape) we will sell them at a consignment sale

  • I let them play with them until they don't fit anymore then I donate them or give them to someone if they want them.

  • They go in the dress up box. We have several years worth of costumes in there.
