What are the steps and extra ingredients? Do I use a speciality rice?

  • use chicken broth to give extra flavor. you need to stir it often at first and then less so as it goes. extra ingredients to add at the end include cheeses or mushrooms (cooked) or basil (fresh). go to food network fo rmore tho. it takes a long time but it is worth it and yes you need arborio rice whichis sort of clear-ish colored tan and rounded and a fat grain rice.

  • I just looked it up. The first sentence says something to the effect of "making risotto is like learning how to ride a bike, it takes some practice and concentration" The timing is really important too. Its sounds a little complicated so you would probably do better to google it or follow Sisteracts suggestion. Good luck

  • Risotto is time intensive because you have to continually stir- I love it. You can make it with many different flavors: herbs, chicken, pumpkin, mushroom, mint.....
