  • Someone who believes in Jesus as the Messiah. The word "Christ" comes from the Greek "Christos" meaning "anointed one", generally thought to be the Hebrew definition of the Messiah. If you believe Jesus was this Messiah, this "Christos", then you're a CHRISTian. Hence the name.
