How much do you spend on a Halloween costume for your children?

Went to the Halloween store with my son the other day just to look and he picked out what he wanted to be... and it was $39.99 .... I dont know but to me that seems like a lot of money for something to wear a couple hours! I

  • I spent $60.00 on one before, but, he wore it more than a couple times. And he won $80.00 in a costume contest with it. LOL...He also played with all his costumes for years after.

  • Try the thrift store, they've got Halloween costumes for cheap! I wouldn't spend more than $20 on a costume.

  • $10! I found a lady in my town that rents out really adorable costumes!! Last year he was a T-rex, this year a turtle.

    Usually we spend no more than 25.00.

  • Actually, I was looking on ebay for a costume for our 15 year old but couldn't justify spending $120 on it. I would be thrilled with $40 for what she wants to be (Ariel, but we need an adult sized costume).
