  • if an infant under two, give infants drops of acetaminophen tylenol. if a toddler give childrens drops of tylenol not motrin til 2 yrs old,. if 2, motrin freakin gworks better! everyone knows it. a warm washcloth pressed or held on top of his ear will helpo him feel soothed and comforted, re-warm it as ti cools. have him lay down and rub his side or back slowly or rhythmically tro distract fro the ear, and he may fall asleep from the sheer stress of the pain. my son had an earache today and cam e home from school with it.

  • tylenol for the pain then a warm wash cloth and put a little pressure on the ear. Most antibotics for ear infections do not make the kid feel better until next to the last dose. Then the antibotic works days after they finish that is why the lable said to take all doses. you can also put a heating pad on low inside his pillow with a hand towle on top of the pad . good luck

  • My son always had ear infections. He is on his second set of tubes. He was given amoxicillan quite a lot. It was never strong enough to kick the infection and we ended up going back to the doctor a couple of weeks after the antibiotics ran out...because he had another ear infection. Tylenol always helped with the pain. My son was also given drops to put in the ear to help numb the pain. That also seemed to help. Maybe the doctor can call you something in like that. Good luck to you...ear infections are no fun!
