Woke up with a swollen eye this morning.

My eye was sore all day yesterday, today its been swollen. I went to the Dr. and she feels it's an allergic reaction to a bug bite, gave me some eyedrops and told me to take benadryl. I've taken a few benadryl. If it was an allergic reaction wouldn't the benadryl help the swelling or not necessarily?

  • if it's an allergy the benadryl should help pretty quickly. I'd call your dr. and tell them that the benadryl isn't working

  • Maybe its a cold in your eye. I use to get eye colds all the time and they ould start out being sore then swollen and then teary. Try a cold and sinus medicine.

  • Might want to make an appointment with an eye doctor. They have the instruments to see in there better than a physician can.
