Sleep issues for an 18mo- suggestions?

LB has never been hard to get down, sometimes she whimpers or cries for about 5-10min but mostly she just lays down and sleeps.
About 4 night ago she started really crying when we tried to get her to bed. She fought for over 2 hours. The next day it was just as impossible to get her down for the nap, than again that night- it just kept leading up and up till last night. Her bedtime is at 8, she didnt go to bed until 11 and even then she went crying!
she has also been waking up at 2-230 and has to be 'settled' and laid back down. What is going on? Normal? Nightmares? Teeth?
Here is our bedtime routine everyday: dinner at 630 or 7. Bath after dinner, milk, small snack, read about 3 books, bed.

  • It could be a growth spurt. I always noticed that during one of those, her sleeping patterns would be off.

  • If nothing else in your life has changed, maybe Jademom07 is right and she's having a growth spurt. Either that, or is she having problems with seasonal allergies? I know my toddler is waking up a little more often now that it's allergy season for us again.
