  • Keep it simple, Just make normal good food that everyone likes, keep the plates and all that paper, or plastic utensils, and have at least 2 good garbage cans.
Stick to food that kids love. Apples, popcorn, mini sodas, have a cake with ''fall"--colored marshmallows.
punch bowls are very messy and much work, have juice boxes, or small cheap water bottles from sam's club, and some store bought cookies, or have other moms bake some brownies and bring the water, juice boxes.

  • Peeled grapes for 'eyeballs', fill a rubber glove with popcorn and stick candy corn in each of the fingers for 'witches hands', bbq chicken wings as 'spicy bat wings', Deviled Eggs (lol), quartered apples with triangular sections cut out and slivered almonds stuck in for teeth as 'dissected mouths', a brain carved out of a peeled round watermelon (remove the rind and cut ridges in so some of the pink is showing through the white), breadsticks shapes as bones, jack o lanterns made from oranges and filled with fruit salad...I could go on!

  • If you want something for the adults you could do pasta salad with halloween colors, go heavy on the shredded carrot and black olives, use (if you can find them) purple bell peppers, etc.
