How can I get my alomst 5 month old daughter to atleast try to crawl?

Me and her father lay her down and sit in front of her so that in hopes that she will see one of us and crawl to us but she just gets mad and crys at us. We have also tried to put toys in front of her in hopes the idea of getting to play with them might make her want to crawl to play with them. Please I need help on how to get her to crawl.

  • She will do it on her own time. Some babies do things earlier or later than "normal"
5 months is early to crawl anyway...

  • Don't rush her. Why would you want to rush her? My daughter didn't crawl until 9 months, and the doctor said that's perfectly normal. Chill out and let her crawl when she's ready!

  • I'm sick of people feeling that they need to rush their child into everything....your child does not have to be the first, the best, or even the cutest........just love them for who they are!!!!! My DD is a little over 6 months and is not crawling yet, but still manages to get into everything. I'm relieved as I know that life is gonna get a lot more hectic when she does crawl.
