  • I DO NOT AGREE WITH CORPRAL PUNISHMENT IN SCHOOL. I FEEL AS IF DISIPIINE BELONGS AT HOME AND SHOULD ONLY COME FROM THE GUARDIAN OF THE CHILD. PARENTS NEED TO GET THIER CHILD IN LINE AT HOME SO WHEN THEY ARE IN PUBLIC THEY KNOW HOW TO CONDUCT THEIR SELFS IN THE CORRECT MANNER. IF ANYONE OTHER THAN THE PARENT USES ANY SORT OF PUNISHMENT (ESPECIALLY CORPRAL) OUTSIDE THE HOME THAT CHILD KNOWS THAT THEY CAN ACT ANY WAY THEY WANT AT HOME. ... JUST MY OPINIONS: IF YOU HAD YOUR CHILD, THEN YOU NEED TO DISIPLINE YOUR CHILD. THAT IS A PART OF PARENTING.

A school district in Michigan is replacing real high school teachers with an on-line learning program & teacher's assistance 3 out of 5 days a week.

  • In the military, young troop live, work, and socialize together. It's not like a job anywhere else. In a social environment (day room in dorms, sports/gym, out at bars, etc)~ 'feminine' acting military men are teased for being 'gay' by their colleagues.... Immature, yes. Sometimes it causes these troop to become loners. AS immature and absurd as this treatment is~ it IS A REALITY... If DADT were to be repealed does anyone really think this teasing would just stop and life would be easier for gays who openly expressed themselves and their relationships in a social setting? Or are people looking to pull some sort of 'hate crime'/bullying card and go after people for speaking free (whether joking, teasing, etc)... Would a gay coming 'out' in the military seperate the divide even more? If it is occurring in a social setting, the military doesn't involve themselves till it impacts jobs/missions. Should they? How?
