how to help kids study for test

I am having trouble helping my 8 yr old study for test. they send home flashcards but she just doesn't get it. Looking for other study tips.

  • What is it, math?

  • If it's math, illustrate it with something fun - i.e. M&Ms or Peanuts. (For example, if you have 10 M&MS and you eat 3 how many do you have left? or if you have three groups of four M&M's how many are there total?)

    If it's spelling or reading, maybe use the words to make sentences so she can connect the words to actual sentences.

    If it's history or geography type use a rhyme or map. (:
