How to keep wasp off of hummingbird feeder?

What can you do so you feed the birds not wasp.

  • There isn't a lot you can do.

    Those wasps would be eating from the same flowers as the humming birds.

  • and those wasps are very very dangerous this time of year
    like they go mad/crazy in the fall
    so be careful if you plan to try to deal with them

  • I can't figure out how to keep anything off of them, I don't think there is much to do! Its sucks huh, lol

  • Fall is reall bad for the wasps. We take down our feeders in the late summer because I don't want the wasp building nests at our house.

  • I will amswer this for you and it is so simple, wasp are deadly to the hummingbird so it is important, I studied wasp they land on what they eat and do not like stuff on their feet. Take some cooking shorting and rub it all over your feeder except the hole where the birds feed and if your feeder has a place for the birds to land don't put it there. But ants and wasp will leave your feeder alone. Thanks everybody
