  • Read the children a funny pumpkin story, like the one from the PEANUTS cartoon. or some other book from the library or school.

-----** Hot Potato toss, with magic marker draw a scary face on the potato and have them toss it slowly than go faster, and faster. Those who drop the potato are ""out'""

----*** Have a balloon face contest or free play, let them draw a face with soft tip non-toxic markers. Rounder tipped for safety.

  • -----**Pin the tail on the black cat
-----**bean bags with the bags made out of pantyhose, filled with walnuts, have them toss them into a huge padded (hollow) plastic pumpkin.
------**Musical chairs.....play spooky songs like ''monster mash, and ''thriller'', and download some onto their i-pods so they can keep them. (for a door prize) that may be too involved??-
------** Have them invent a witches brew, using your ingredients, use a punchbowl, and the children can toss in some sherbet, lemonade, and sprite, let them toss in some orange/black, / white sprinkles for Halloween color.
