Are multiple wick candles better than single wick candles?

Why?

  • I like Yankee Candles Tumblers; they have two wicks. They "throw" more scent, but they burn quicker than single wicks. I've never had any luck with the multi-wick pillar candles, they always burn strange for me. In pillars, I prefer single wicks.

  • they burn more evenly so that you dont throw out the candle when all the sides are still full of wax to burn. I like them more but they just cost more....

  • I would think that the candle would burn up much faster, do they produce more scent throw?

  • Hey Scuba - Yankee Candle has ALL of their large jars on sale BOGO including the tumblers - that is what actually prompted this question. Good to know!

  • I put candles on a candle warmer rather than burn the wicks....they last longer and no soot in the air from the wicks

  • I also prefer candle warmers. Helps use up all that wax!
