Which Line Do You Fill Up Detergent To?

  • It depends on the size of load your washing if it's a large load I fill to the top line, if its a medium to the half-line, small line below the half.

  • I make my own laundry detergent. You can make a 6 month supply for about $3....I use a 1/4 cup measuring cup per load.

  • The different lines are based on how large your load is and how dirty your clothes are. Check the back of your detergent bottle or box and it will tell you what line for what kind of load. Personally, I use a full lid for all of my loads because we don't run small ones.

  • Usually the 0 line... IF it's an extra dirty line, the 1 or 2. I always run an extra large load but the 0 line is always enough.

  • I have a front load machine. I fill it to the line labeled 1 on the detergent bottle. That is by the instructions.
