# can you help me with this please?

I need to make sure I have a correct answer on this thanks

A number rounded to the nearest thousand is 560,000. What is the missing digit? 560,_95

• When you are rounding to the nearest thousand, look at the HUNDREDS DIGIT of the number.

If the hundreds digit is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, then round down.

When you round down, the thousands digit doesn't change, and the hundreds and tens and ones digits go to zero.

So 560,095 would round down to 560,000 as would putting a 1,2,3 or 4 in that spot.

• 6, 7, 8, or 9. If it was 0-4 it would be rounded to 559,000. Even my 8yo knew it (she's learning rounding right now).
