How do I get the smell of cooked oil out of the house, while I am frying foods?

We don't fry food that often in my home, but when we do the smell of the oil frying is gross. It feels like it sticks to my clothes, hair etc. What can I do to stop that smell?

  • Stop frying in the house. Put the deep fryer outside next time.

  • I second doing it outside - we did it once when we were camping and it was so nice to not have a stink!

  • I gave up on indoor just recently, for frying, it's really nasty especially if it's been raining or humid or balmy warm. I do however wait for the dryness in the weather and a cooler windier dry day to deep fry.
    As for ...
getting out the smell, just perhaps light some nice smelling candles, or spray with lemon scent febreeze. Otherwise it's just alwasy sticking to something.
