In your opinion, how often should an in town grandparent try to see their grandchildren?

I know what I think, just wondering what you all think.

  • Any time, with us it's about 2-3 times a week, sometimes more, rarely less.

  • Grand parents are all the rage. They are welcome in my house twenty four seven and seven days a week. We don't have any they have all gone and decide to rest with the alfather. Love all the grandparents and pray that they live to see your children

  • Two or three times a week, though my mother-in-law seems to think every day would be nice....

  • we are usually at my parents 2-3 times a week sometimes more; we do alot of things together. We are there every Sunday with the whole bunch (my brothers, sisters, and their spouses, and nephew ) for football (my family are huge football fans). But we see them so much because we are a really close family.

  • A whole month can go by and my MIL won't try to see her grandkids. She would blame me for not bringing them to her, but here's the catch, if I take them to her I have to stay there the whole time because she doesn't like watching them at the same time. I don't want to spend any time with my MIL! I'd rather stay home. But I'm not keeping her from them in any way. She has a car and lives 10 minutes away. I think she finds fulfilled in her life on farmville.

  • depends on their health
or if young grandparent and they are still working
if they have a good amount of time-retired and healthy
    in town grandparent...
i would be happy with once a week?

  • Sadly some people are not into spending time alone with their grandkids. If I lived near mine I would hope it was at least once a week and with sleepovers on the weekends.

  • My daughter sees my dad everyday she is his pride and joy my mom could care less and my dh's parents are all gone now. We don't see many of our in town grandkids either though they know where we live and we are just as busy as they are I make the time for my 8 year old to see my dad they can make the time to see us but then we only have 4 in town and see them as often as I would like as long as it's me stopping there not coming to our house

  • Once a week at least. When I lived 3 miles away from my parents I would bring the kids by several times a week. Now that we moved an hour away my mom comes and stays with us about once a month for a week.
