What would you buy at the grocery store to last you 2 weeks worth of meals for 2 adults 1 toddler with 20-25$?

  • stuff to make casseroles? potatoes, beans, spaghetti...

  • Slow-cook soups. Split pea, Beef and lentil, chicken noodle (or rice?). What sort of things do you have on hand? I'd also suggest plan out what to make first so you know exactly what you're going to make. Also, look for ways to transform one meal into something else for the next day. I took a pork roast (with potatoes, onion and carrots) and made it into pork stir fry by adding soy sauce, a bit of ginger, a bag of stir-fry veggies and topped it over rice. Stuff like that.

    beans and hot dogs
    And do look for whats on sell for 99c...i always buy foods for noodles, a few tv dinners tuna fish..etc
    i made beef stew this week and we ate on it for three try some soups...hope this helps :)

  • dried bean soups,bag of rice,real oatmeal,cheapest bag of frozen veggies.First try food pantries and churches.Our church has a mission where we have large wood and plexiglass/wood bins filled with brown sacks with a water,canned meat,granola bars.those cheese cracker sandwiches and a small box of raisins.People are free to come in and take them,we also keep a few in our cars to give out.A few of those would take care of some meals.Call around.
