trying new life style know any good food recipies with out using beef or pork?

  • I really like to eat pasta, and most days, the pasta I make is vegetarian. Quesadillas are also yummy and can avoid both of those meats.

  • Serve this with a warm n crusty bread, and a pretty green salad. Since prep/cook time is about 2 hrs, serve yourself up a nice glass of wine and good tunes! :)

    Prawns in Tomato Butter Sauce:
    1 C Butter (divided)
    2 Medium heads Garlic, peeled and minced
    1 28 oz Can Crushed Tomatoes
    2 Pounds Lg Prawns (shrimp)- Peeled, Deveined and Butterflied
    Chopped FreshParsley (about 1/4 cup worth)

    Melt 1/2 C. Butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add 1st garlic, saute 2-3 mins until soft. Stir in the tomatoes and bring to a simmer(med low heat). Continue cooking and stirring occasionally until reduced to a thick paste, about an hour or so.
    In separate saucepan, melt remaining butter over low heat and saute 2nd garlic 2-3 mins.
    Toss prawns in garlic butter sauce, then place on a baking sheet.
    Broil until Pink- Do Not overcook (they keep cooking inside).

  • WW Chicken Parmesan
    Serves 4

    1 lb skinless boneless chicken breast -- thinly pounded, cut into 4 pieces
    2 large egg whites -- lightly beaten
    1/2 cup bread crumbs, seasoned
    1 T italian seasoning
    1 tsp olive oil
    1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
    1/2 cup mozzarella cheese -- shredded
    1 T parmesan cheese

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat an 8" square pan with cooking spray

    Dip chicken in egg whites and turn to coat. Then mix crumbs with Italian seasining and dip chicken in bread crumb moisture. Then mix crumbs with Italian seasoning and dip chicken in bread crumb misture. turn to coat thoroughly

    Heat oil in a large skillet; add chicken. Cook until lightly browned and no longer pink in center. About 4 minutes

    Pour 1/2 cup of sauce into prepared baking dish; place chiken in dish and pour remaining sauce evenly over chi

  • My guys Love the chicken Parmesan above, it's a weight watcher's recipe, I don't use tomato sauce, I make a homemade marinara sauce. It's yummy.
