Stretch marks?

I didn't have any with my daughter 19 years ago and can't se any other than some on my thighs right now (35 weeks pregnant). After my daughter I didn't have any either and had a nice flat tummy pretty quickly. I don't think I'll get that lucky this time (I was in much better shape then - walked everywhere - it's too hot here for that), but I'm wondering if I'll have belly stretch marks later.

Did you have them? Alot or a little? When (during and/or after) and where?

  • I got them! a lot! on my belly are most of them. and on my breast, but not nearly as noticeable. I got them really bad when i was probably three weeks from having my first daughter, that's when they all popped up :( but you might get lucky, it all depends on your skin, some ppl get them and others dont. GL :)

  • I had a lot of stretch marks before I even got preggy. I gained a lot of weight after getting married. COme to find out, I had PCOS and insulin resistance which was one of the cause of the lovely weight gain. I'm 28 weeks preggy now and see more stretch marks coming...I dun care.

  • i got them on my stomach something fierce. i shocked a LD nurse with how bad they were before my DD was born haha. 2 years later they are still very visible but not bright red so im thankful for that.

i was told its genetics, some ppl get em, some dont. theres not a whole lot you can do to keep from getting them if thats your lot. every woman in my mom's family has them, still...even after 40 years my grandma still has very visible stretch marks. i guess you are one of the lucky ones!

  • I have a ton, they do fade. They dont go away completely, but its barely noticable once it fades. I may take a while. Mine did. I have a whole new set from this baby. Try that palmers cocoa butter. Its good stuff.

  • I only had a couple on my sides near my belt line for the belly.
HOWEVER- For some reason my thighs front/back look like I was attacked by lightening.
Even a few on my calves. All I gained was 18 pounds. :S However, I was very immobile during my pregnancy,
    which I regret.
Best of Luck..and use that cocoa butter! :P

  • I went almost my entire pregnancy without any then they showed up with avengence at week 34. Some have started to fade, but I still have some that are really deep. Mine are mostly on my belly, but I did get a few on my thighs and sides.

  • I got some stretch marks with my 1st, but no extra ones with my 2nd through 5th. The ones from my first have lightened dramatically (I used BioOil)

  • I didn't end up getting any with my first. We will see what happens with this baby. I used coco butter though and it really helps.
