Anyone got any home remedies for severe backpain other than the heating pad... I am miserable!!

I am 29 weeks, measuring at 34, and I am absolutly miserable. I have a 1 year old that keeps me moving most of the day so it is hard to sit with a heating pad all day...

  • ooh don't ever use a heating pad all day! never use heat or ice for more than 20 min at a time, alternating them is good.

  • Have you considered one of those belly supporting bands?  Take some of the strain off your back - and you may get a little relief.

  • sit with your feet and legs spread wide and lean forward as far as possible( with your tummy between your legs) you are prob arching your back when you walk and this will stretch it the other way and should give you some relief if you do it several times a day.

  • Yeah, only use a heating pad a few times a day no more than 20 mins... try a warm bath, get a preggo belly band... there are also heating pad patches, ask your OB if that would be safe... like an icy/hot patch... But ask first!

  • Also most doctors say any topical creams are ok -- so try some aches and pains cream.
