  • Also thought of breads and bar cookies made with healthy ingredients like bananas, zucchini, carrots, etc. Plus any dessert that has a lot of fruit in it.

    1 1/2 to 2 lbs. chicken
    1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 to 2 cans cream style corn
    17 oz. whole kernel corn
    1 sm. can lima beans
    18 oz. tomato paste
    1 bottle catsup
    1 sm. bottle Worcestershire sauce
    3 med. potatoes, diced
    3 med. onions, diced
    1 stick butter

Cook chicken until tender and remove from broth (reserve broth). Remove meat from the bones. Brown ground beef in skillet slowly. Add all ingredients to two cups chicken broth. Cook over low heat for 3 hours.

  • There is a drink called Ensure. If they get Medicaid or sometimes they can get their Dr. to write a perscription saying they need it and Medicare will pay for it. A lot of them enjoy the chocolate or strawberry.

Can of Tuna or Chicken. Egg noodles per servings that have been cooked. Mix together in a pot. Pour Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken in a bowl & add can of milk.. Mix then pour mixture over the chicken/egg noodle mixture. Sitr when heating. When warm enough to eat, remove and serve. or you can do it in a microwave for 5 min. with cover over microwave bowl, instead of on the stove. If they like a veggie, add that for side dish and some friut. Enjoy

  • My grandfather LOVED chocolate, so my mom was thrilled to find all of the new flavors they have in yogurt section - basically like little desserts! Fruit smoothies with protein powder are yummy too. Oh - they also ahve those cookbooks, "Deceptively Delicious" and the "Sneaky Chef" that show you how to hide healthy foods in tasty dishes. I'm sure there are some things for him in there. They make 100% frozen fruit popsicles... that also might help "loosen things up" down there too :-)
