what is the difference between living and existing?

  • I would say that living is being awake, aware, mindful, and actually existing in the present moment, whatever it may be. I would say existing is going through the motions of life without mindfulness, with your mind always somewhere else.

  • living means you experience stuff, you take risks, you step "out of your comfort zone", existing is just going through the motions
