Why does my son pull on his hair when he is sleepy?

When my son gets tired he pulls on his hair like rubbing on it but actually pulling on his hair.

  • I don't know, but my son used to tug at his ears while he was nursing to sleep, sometimes he flaped his arm at the same time.

  • Aw.. Its just a tick.. My son does that to, he also tugs at his ears... I wouldnt worry... Sometimes my son will dig till his head bleeds... Doc said its just cause he was hot and tired...

  • Miles does this too.....i think its normal...he will swat at his right ear and start playing with his hair...

  • my sons plays with his own hears or if my fiance is feeding him he plays with his facial hair

  • My daughter does the same thing.. I don't know why she does it. She also lays on her belly and wiggles her butt, when she is sleepy. Its pretty funny!
