Is 5 a good age to take her to a concert?

My daughter is 5 and she loves Shakira. So her dad thought it would be a good idea to take her to her concert when she's in LA. I thought it would be fun since I am a fan of Shakira too, but isn't she too young to go?
On the other hand, it's just Shakira, it's safe. It's not like a matel rock rock band which could be more dangerous..
What do you think?

  • I have performed in big shows and gone to big concerts. The front row gets very high energy, lots of people jumping around, pushing and shoving. Not the funnest for a 5 yo.

  • She'll be fine. Just make sure they aren't front row or something. Plenty of kids have been to concerts that small.

  • I guess it would be okay... I would suggest ear plugs. We plan to take our boys to Metallica and they are 14, 8 and 7 yrs old... lol

  • My niece came to see beyonce with us for her 5th bday, she loved it - but was tired near the end, still enjoyed it though
