Can anyone explain why she acts like that?

When my niece gets frustrated, she takes her right hand and starts hitting the right side of her head.

(she only does this with her right hand and right side of her head.)

shes been doing it since she was like 10 months? shes now almost 15 months old....

  • Common, toddler behavior. If her parents are concerned, they should bring it up with her pediatrician at her next appointment.

  • Because she can't verbally get her frustrations out, she is showing another way. If you think there might be a problem otherwise, get her mom/dad/guardian to take her to the doctor to rule out other things. If you had said she has been doing it for the whole 15 months it might be something else. Childrens hands and anything they can touch are their way of communication.
