  • FRESH pineapple (never frozen or refrigerated) is rumored to contain a chemical that can help soften your cervix. Also, it is a very acidic fruit, so it can aggravate your cervix, causing irregular contractions... BUT, it is not proven to induce labor, no.

  • Nothing except nature and doctors can induce labor. However, if your are actually really close and everything is ready for labor then, sex, pineapple, walking...and so forth can help soften the cervix or agitate it enough to trigger you to begin labor.

  • Walking helps move things along better. I had a midwife scrap my membranes to kinda help labor come a little sooner. OMG soooooo painful! But two days later I went into labor and gave birth.

  • Not unless you eat like 10 fresh pineapple in one sitting, but you have to eat the core too.
