Do you ask them if they ate it, enjoyed it, etc?
Do you allow them to choose what items you may include?
My daughter will be starting kindergarden next year and I am going to try my best to pack her lunch because I remember hating school food and they never had a good and healthy enough selection. (I'm not saying they don't... I just remember wanting salads and they only had pizza, etc.)
Is it more common to take lunch now days or to buy it from school?
Does your child have a special lunch box?

My kids get their lunch at school (they're on the free lunch program). They have a pretty good variety at their school. Every day they have several options including a sandwich with fruit and crackers on the side, some kind of salad, something more "junky" (like hamburger or pizza) and something vegetarian and/or different (like teryiaki chicken with rice pilaf and veggies) and fresh fruit and veggies are available every day for all the kids (even the ones not buying/getting lunch).
