it will vary on your workload, your expenses, your taxes, and your location/comparative-cost for services.
i lived/worked in a town of about 80,000..industy/factory/farm town..mostly lower to medium-income..for 21yrs. the last 15 or so, i would bring home about $1400/wk, working more than full-time, mostly chemical services. all established-clientele, no walk-ins.
BUT..we had two in our salon that didn't bring home 1/2 that, and 1 who might've been lucky to make $400/wk.
clientele/experience/booking know-how also come into play.
like i said, it varies, depending on several factors. and i may add, no one makes a lot of money the first year or so...unless a busy stylist dies and leaves your his/her clientele/appointment book. :)
