What the heck is my dog thinking?

Wouldn't you just love to know? My puppy cockerpoo favors my S/O & with me having back surgery he had to do most of the playing, among other things, and still does, thus the favoring. I do other things for our bonding, but at night when I'm upstairs she comes up and lays at my feet, even slept with me for a few weeks after surgery. I would love to know why at certain times they do what they do and what their thinking, they are such smart, loving creatures.

  • Your dog is bonded to you. She can sense when you need her. :)

  • I have three dogs who are all quite intelligent. Yet also sometimes dumb as a box of rocks. I'm not sure they do alot of thinking.

  • I agree.. my cat behaved like that when I was pregnant. He waited outside the bathroom door for me, lay by the baby (my belly) at night. I think its beautiful how the natural "animal instinct" comes out in both feline and human when building a bond and going threw life's motions together :) Some pets even save their owners lives... who knows what they are thinking :)

  • Sometime animals have more common sense than human. I'm always amazed with there behaviors at times.
